Gecko Massage Story: Directly from the Owner, Shannon Carlin
In 1997 I started Gecko Massage Supply Co. I was a student in my second year of Massage College and supplies were hard to come by in Winnipeg. My little store sold products such as Stronglite equipment and anything needed in a clinic. I met a Chemist soon after and the reality of manufacturing our own products was born. We started making our own portable tables as well.
I look back and think, wow I was busy. After graduating from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy, I opened Henderson Massage Health & Wellness Centre and subsequently opened a second clinic 8 years later which is also located in Winnipeg. I have been practicing Massage Therapy since 1997 and work both in Winnipeg and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where I met my wife. But enough about me, let me tell you about my company.
Gecko Massage Products is a small, little, fun business that is different. Gecko came to be out of a desire to start a massage company who’s core values are similar to that of a Massage Therapists core values; caring, dedication, trust and a positive experience.
